Day 88 – June 6 – Whitehorse Day 2

We drove to Main Street in Whitehorse to go through some shops with locally made items.  There really are not many tourist type shops in the town, which I found a little surprising.  I guess it is hard to live off tourists with the weather they have in the winter.

We messed around for a while in Whitehorse.  Dorrie wanted to get her hair cut so we looked for a place that could take her in right away.  She found one place, but the timing didn’t work out for us.  The second shop she tried could take her in right away.  Mary decided to get hers cut also, so they went into the shop while Rick and I returned to the campers to put away the groceries we had purchased.

Rick and I took a scouting trip along our route for tomorrow, looking for a gas station that had “reasonable” prices and was easy to get into with the campers.  Having accomplished our mission, we returned to the shop for the girls.  They were both happy with their cuts, so everything is good.

The rest of the afternoon and evening we were in the campground.
