Day 26 – April 5 – My
Birthday
The morning of my 66th year started with a group
breakfast of bacon, egg, cheese, and biscuits.
Later we headed to the strip for the New York New York casino. Before going up to the game level Dorrie tried her luck on the $1 big slot.
Rick and I rode the roller coaster – it was
quite a ride on the outside of the casino. The cars are like checker cabs and we were in the second or
third car from the front. We climbed
forever straight up and then we lost my stomach on the trip down. No one told me the damn thing went in a loop,
but it does as well as a roll. After
being upside down twice, we hit some small dips that jarred anything that had
not been rearranged before the dips. It
was fun and a once is enough for me type of ride.
Driving back toward the camper we saw the Power Rangers
walking down the sidewalk, so we took a couple of pictures for Alex, our
grandson who is actually the green Power Ranger in his mind.
Almost back to the camper we saw these guys riding down the
street.
There are a lot of unusual
bicycles on the streets in Vegas. One we
have seen a couple of times is about 10 feet high and the rider has to climb
down when he stops. I am going to try to
get a photo next time we see him.
We went to Main Street Casino’s Triple 7 grill for dinner. The food was as good as it was the first
time. After a little time losing at the
slots we returned back to the camper for the night.
