Day 28 – April 7 –
Back to New York New York
After a lazy start to the day we went back to New York New
York because Dorrie decided she was going to ride the roller coaster. She was back and forth on riding it and
finally decided she was going for it. We
tried to get a good picture of the ride, but it is just not possible while on
the strip.
Dorrie’s back has been hurting for some time and she was concerned that the ride might hurt her back. After the ride she said her neck really hurt. She had her eyes closed most of the time on the ride, so she did not brace for the turns like you would if you saw what was coming. Rick is still trying to recover his hearing which was damaged from Dorrie's screams! lol

We went to the casino for a short time while Rick ran over
to the M&M store. He came back and
said the Cardinal baseball game was on TV.
We when to the sports betting area to watch some of the home opening
game - after the first inning they were winning 3-0. We found out later they went on to win 5 to 3, which
was good news.
Next we went to the Flamingo Hotel and Casino complex to eat
at Margaritaville
restaurant.
Dorrie had a margarita and the rest of us had the Five O’clock Somewhere drink – a rum mixture that was very good. For our meal each couple shared an order of Volcano Nachos – which we could not finished.
Back to the camper for an early evening – tomorrow we move on to California.

Dorrie - do your back exercises! Enjoy California. So far, a lot of what you've seen is what we hope to see in August when we travel. But now you're going into 2015 territory for us.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all staying well rested, what a trip!
Jackie - August may not be a good time to hit Utah or Vegas. It is all desert and will be really hot.
