Day 43– April 22 –
Dinner with Cousin Ed
Rick had an appointment to have a new braking system
installed on the Liberty since the one he was using caused the issues back in
Utah. They had checked in at the
campground and then drove to the Camping World to spend the night Monday on the
Camping World lot so they would not have to fight the rush hour traffic Tuesday
morning.
We gave Chloe and Sadie baths – they both needed one. I washed them in the shower and the dirt
seemed to run off Sadie. Later we did a
little housework and got ready for a visit with my cousin Ed Le Roy. I had contacted Ed when we were in Morro
Bay. He invited us to dinner with his
family. We thought Rick and Mary would
be back in time to go with us, but a little after five Mary called to say they
were just leaving the Camping World so Ed picked us up. He gave us a short tour of Pleasanton. It was clear that Ed is very proud of this
town.
I had not seen Ed in close to 60 years but he, Diane and the
rest of their family made us feel at home.
The food was great and the family time was a welcome breather for Dorrie
and I. Before we knew it the evening was
over and it was time to return to our camper. We really enjoyed spending time with them. Ed's kids were very enjoyable. We plan to see Ed and Diane again before we leave the area.
